Time rushes by. Every day blurring into the next like the view from a train. One day you’re at school, the next you’re starting a job, a band, a family. You’re climbing a ladder, catching a plane, forgetting yourself…
And then, just when you think you’ve missed your stop, time slows for a breath and the light from your past catches up.
Far Solar: four London musicians: raised in the 80’s, making music in the 90's, then scattered across the world, return home and decide to reconnect.
They talk about great songs, great bands, movie music … groovy music. The power of rock, the poise of pop. The beauty that hangs somewhere between the notes and the beats, the idea and the execution. Still in love with the eclectic sounds that comprise their shared musical landscape - U2, Talking Heads, Eagles, Bowie, The Cure, Steely Dan - they decide to see if they can catch some of that light from the past and make something new.
Iconic speakeasy Ram Jam Records is hidden away behind the award winning Smok’d pub at The Grey Horse Kingston ( and yes we serve all their award winning food and drink).
