Adam (OSTR) Ostrowski and Dan Thurlow have known each other forever. They made music together in the noughties, then Dan gave up and OSTR, already famous in his homeland of Poland, became a superstar. They stayed tight. In 2021 Dan got cancer, it was rough (OSTR had had it a few years earlier), to get through it they started to make music together again, every time Dan went into hospital, he wrote to an OSTR beat. 30 odd songs later Massive Cranes appeared as a fully formed thing. Deep synth and drum led music with honest and raw lyricism. During the recording Process Helen Fisher added her delicate, beautiful, broken glass singing voice, writing and piano skills to create an uplifting slice of alternative melancholy that you can dance to.
