The Henry Kimber Band, led by London based singer, guitarist, and songwriter Henry Kimber, deliver the sounds of vintage Blues, Soul, and Funk presented in a modern package at The Speakeasy Party.
The band is quickly gaining a reputation for its energetic live performances, dedication to free-flowing improvisation, as well as fresh original compositions.
One can expect to hear the rootsy sounds of Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, and Elmore James blended with the soulful melodies of Bill Withers, Etta James, and Ray Charles. All of this is presented in a fresh and original context.
Henry is joined by Felipe Drago on drums, Costa Tancredi on Bass, and Alberto Manuzzi on Keys. Felipe combines years of gigging experience in Brazil and the UK with excellent technical knowledge of the instrument (having held teaching positions at Eubanks Conservatory of Music and Arts and Voice Musical Centre in Sao Paulo, Brazil). Costa has a prolific catalogue of albums as a session bassist including working with many top names in the UK Blues and Roots scene. Alberto is a regular fixture on the London music scene and can frequently be found playing at 100 Club, Ain’t Nothing But The Blues Bar, and many more. He also holds a master in Musicology from Bologna University.
